AWS has announced that OpenAI’s GPT-6 Astra is now generally available on Amazon Bedrock. The company shared the news on September 8, 2026, in a post on the AWS Machine Learning Blog, where it described the model as OpenAI’s latest and most capable to date.
How Customers Can Access GPT-6 Astra
According to AWS, customers have two main ways to use the model. They can call GPT-6 Astra directly through the Amazon Bedrock APIs, or they can configure ChatGPT Work and Codex to use it. The launch also includes new ChatGPT Work enterprise plugins from OpenAI.
