It started with a spark. When Apple unveiled the beta version of its revamped smartphone assistant, I was genuinely captivated. The promise of a smarter, more capable Siri felt like a breath of fresh air in the often-stagnant world of digital assistants.

The Initial Allure

During those early summer weeks, I found myself eagerly testing the new features, marveling at how the assistant seemed to understand context better and respond more naturally. It was a fling, pure and simple—exciting, novel, and full of potential.

The Fading Enthusiasm

But as the weeks rolled on, the initial thrill began to wane. The beta’s limitations became more apparent, and the assistant’s occasional stumbles reminded me that it was still a work in progress. The excitement I once felt started to feel more like a chore.

Why the Magic Faded

Perhaps it was the incremental updates that failed to deliver on the grand promises, or maybe it was just the natural course of any new technology—the shine wears off once the novelty fades. Whatever the reason, my enthusiasm dwindled.

Looking Toward the Full Release

Now, as the full release approaches, I find myself in an unexpected position: I’ve almost forgotten Siri AI exists. The assistant that once seemed poised to revolutionize my daily routine has slipped quietly into the background of my digital life.

It’s a curious feeling—to have been so enamored with something that now barely registers on my radar. Perhaps the full release will reignite that initial spark, or perhaps it will confirm that our brief summer fling was just that: a fleeting moment of technological infatuation.
